At Flint Hills Barns & Buildings, we believe a website should do more than display products. It should help you understand your options, answer practical questions, and make it easier to move forward with confidence.
That is why we have been working steadily to improve the Flint Hills website. The new design may be the first thing you notice, but this update is about much more than colors and photographs. It is part of our continuing effort to build a better relationship with every customer who visits us.
A clearer way to find the right building
Barns, garages, carports, storage buildings, container shelters, and other structures are not one-size-fits-all purchases. The right choice depends on what you need to protect, where the building will be installed, how the site can be accessed, and what delivery or installation services are available in your area.
Our redesigned homepage now begins with those real-world needs. You can browse by use, explore the major building categories through improved navigation, or move directly into a custom quote when a standard product is not the right fit.
We also refreshed the site's visual design with a stronger rural character, clearer organization, and a warm green-and-cream color palette. The goal is simple: make the site easier to scan, easier to trust, and easier to use on the way to an informed decision.
More custom-building possibilities
We recently announced that Flint Hills Barns & Buildings is proud to work with Safeguard Metal Buildings and Steel Buildings & Structures, Inc. These relationships give us access to a much wider range of customizable metal structures, including barns, garages, workshops, carports, equipment shelters, utility buildings, and commercial buildings.
The website now includes a detailed custom-building quote process designed around those projects. Customers can provide their location, intended use, dimensions, door and window preferences, colors, site conditions, delivery access, schedule, and other important details.
That information gives us a better starting point. Instead of asking you to squeeze a complex project into a small contact box, the quote process helps us understand what you are actually trying to build. From there, Bobby can review the project, prepare the design and quote, answer questions, and make revisions until the details are right.
Nothing is ordered while the project is still being discussed. Once the final plan is approved, payment is completed securely through Shopify before the order is submitted to the selected building partner.
Shipping-container quotes are now available
We have also added a dedicated shipping-container quote experience.
Container pricing depends on more than length and condition. Current inventory, container grade, depot location, freight, unloading access, and the possibility of customer pickup can all affect the practical final cost.
The new quote page lets customers tell us the type, size, condition, quantity, location, and delivery needs once. We can then review current inventory, identify a practical depot, calculate freight, and compare delivery with depot pickup when both options are available.
The written quote will explain the container, its condition, the selected depot, freight or pickup arrangements, important exclusions, and how long the quote remains valid. As with our custom buildings, payment is completed securely through Shopify only after the customer has reviewed and approved the quote.
Real help remains at the center
We are excited about better tools, better navigation, and more building options, but the purpose of all of them is to improve the customer relationship.
Buying a large structure can involve unfamiliar terminology, freight requirements, installation questions, site preparation, permitting, financing, and a long list of choices. A polished website is useful, but it should never leave you alone with those decisions.
Flint Hills Barns & Buildings remains a Kansas-based, veteran-owned business where you can call, text, or email and reach a real person. Bobby is available to help compare options, explain what is included, identify questions that still need answers, and make sure the next step is clear.
We will keep improving
This redesign is not a finish line. It is another step in building the kind of company we would want to work with ourselves: straightforward, responsive, practical, and honest about the details.
As we add suppliers, improve our quote systems, publish more useful guides, and learn from customer questions, the website will continue to grow with the business.
If you are planning a barn, garage, carport, workshop, storage building, container shelter, or shipping-container purchase, explore the new site and tell us what you need. We will help you find a practical path forward.
