Billing and Payment Terms
Effective Date: July 26, 2026
These Billing and Payment Terms explain the payment methods and billing practices of Flint Hills Barns and Buildings Co.
Flint Hills Barns and Buildings Co. is operated by BJP Stores LLC, a Kansas limited liability company. In these terms, “Flint Hills Barns,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to BJP Stores LLC doing business as Flint Hills Barns and Buildings Co.
These terms should be read together with our Terms of Service, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Return and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any product-specific quote, invoice, or agreement.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout or identified on the applicable quote or invoice.
Depending on the order and payment services currently enabled, available methods may include:
- Visa;
- Mastercard;
- American Express;
- PayPal; and
- Other payment methods displayed during checkout or approved in writing.
Not every payment method will be available for every order, product, transaction amount, or customer location.
For security, please do not send complete card numbers, bank-account credentials, or other sensitive payment information through ordinary email, text message, or website contact forms.
2. Card Payments
When paying by credit or debit card, you represent that:
- The billing information you provide is accurate and complete;
- You are the cardholder or are authorized to use the card;
- The transaction does not violate any law or cardholder agreement; and
- Sufficient credit or funds are available to complete the payment.
Your card issuer may place an authorization hold on your account before the payment is captured. The timing and amount of any authorization hold are controlled by the issuer and payment processor.
A declined authorization does not create an accepted or paid order.
3. PayPal and Other Digital Payment Services
If PayPal or another digital payment service is available, selecting it may redirect you to that provider or open its payment interface.
Your use of a third-party payment service is also subject to that provider’s terms, privacy policy, authorization procedures, and account requirements.
Availability of a payment service does not guarantee approval of a particular transaction.
4. High-Value and Custom Orders
Certain barns, buildings, tiny homes, customized products, made-to-order products, freight shipments, or installation services may require payment terms different from those offered during ordinary online checkout.
Depending on the order, we may require:
- Payment in full when the order is placed;
- An initial deposit;
- Progress or milestone payments;
- The remaining balance before production, shipment, delivery, or installation;
- A verified form of payment; or
- Another payment arrangement stated in a written quote, invoice, or order agreement.
The applicable quote, invoice, checkout page, or order confirmation will identify the payment schedule for that purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, paying a deposit does not make the remaining balance optional or contingent upon financing approval, permit approval, site preparation, or another event controlled by the customer.
5. Deposits
When a deposit is required, the quote, invoice, or product-specific terms will state:
- The deposit amount;
- When the remaining balance is due;
- Whether any portion becomes non-refundable; and
- Any conditions affecting cancellation or modification.
Deposits for custom, configured, engineered, special-order, or made-to-order products may become non-refundable after procurement, engineering, customization, or production begins, subject to our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.
6. Order Acceptance
Submitting payment does not necessarily mean that an order has been accepted.
We may verify:
- Product availability;
- Pricing and specifications;
- Delivery availability;
- Site and access information;
- Customer identity;
- Billing information;
- Payment authorization; and
- Suspected fraud or security concerns.
An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance or begin procurement, customization, production, fulfillment, or another order-specific service.
If we cannot accept an order after collecting payment, we will cancel the affected transaction and provide any refund required under our policies and applicable law.
7. Payment Authorization and Verification
We and our payment providers may use reasonable measures to verify a transaction and prevent fraud.
We may request additional information when necessary, including:
- Confirmation of identity;
- Confirmation of the billing or delivery address;
- Verification that the customer is authorized to use the payment method;
- A telephone or email confirmation;
- Additional documentation for an unusually large or high-risk transaction; or
- Confirmation of order details before production or shipment.
We may place an order on hold, reject it, or cancel it if payment cannot be authorized or verified, or if we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized use, or unlawful activity.
We will not request your account password, complete card number, or card security code by ordinary email.
8. Pricing and Billing Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete:
- Name and contact information;
- Billing address;
- Delivery address;
- Payment information; and
- Other information reasonably necessary to process the transaction.
You must promptly notify us of a relevant change before the order is shipped or delivered.
Prices and payment requirements may vary by product, configuration, delivery location, supplier, freight requirement, and selected service. The final checkout page, accepted quote, invoice, or written order agreement controls over general website pricing when the documents differ.
9. Pricing Errors
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate prices, but typographical, supplier, calculation, and technical errors may occur.
If we discover a material pricing or billing error before fulfillment, we may:
- Correct the error;
- Contact you with revised terms;
- Request approval before proceeding;
- Allow cancellation of the affected order; or
- Cancel the order and refund the affected payment.
We are not required to fulfill an order at an obviously incorrect price, subject to applicable law.
10. Taxes and Additional Charges
Applicable sales, use, excise, or similar taxes will be shown during checkout or included in the applicable quote or invoice when we are required to collect them.
Unless expressly identified as included, the advertised product price may not include charges such as:
- Freight or delivery;
- Unloading equipment;
- Installation or assembly;
- Site preparation;
- Foundations or anchoring;
- Engineering documents;
- Permits or inspections;
- Utility connections;
- Storage or redelivery; or
- Customer-requested upgrades and services.
Review the applicable product page, quote, and order documents carefully to determine what is included.
Customers claiming a tax exemption must provide valid and complete exemption documentation before the order is finalized. We may reject expired, incomplete, or legally insufficient documentation.
11. Currency
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all prices and payments are denominated and processed in United States dollars.
If your account uses another currency, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may apply:
- Currency-conversion rates;
- Foreign-transaction fees;
- International processing fees; or
- Other charges.
Those rates and fees are determined by the applicable financial institution or payment provider and are not controlled by Flint Hills Barns.
12. Financing
Financing may be offered through an independent third-party lender or financing provider.
The financing provider—not Flint Hills Barns—determines:
- Credit approval;
- Eligibility;
- Interest rates;
- Repayment terms;
- Fees;
- Required documentation; and
- Financing decisions.
A financing application is separate from a product order unless expressly stated otherwise.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, failure to obtain financing does not automatically cancel an accepted order or eliminate charges already incurred.
13. Payment Deadlines
Payments must be received by the deadline stated on the checkout page, quote, invoice, order confirmation, or written payment schedule.
If a required payment is late, we may, subject to the applicable agreement and law:
- Place the order on hold;
- Delay procurement, production, shipment, delivery, or installation;
- Revise an estimated completion date;
- Apply a disclosed late or storage charge;
- Cancel the order; or
- Pursue payment of amounts lawfully owed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by the customer’s failure to make a required payment when due.
14. Failed, Reversed, or Disputed Payments
If a payment is declined, reversed, returned, disputed, or charged back, we may suspend or cancel the affected order while the matter is investigated.
You agree to contact us promptly if you believe:
- A payment was processed incorrectly;
- An unauthorized payment appears on your account;
- You were charged more than once; or
- A refund has not been properly credited.
Initiating a payment dispute does not automatically cancel an accepted order or eliminate a valid contractual payment obligation.
Nothing in this section limits any lawful right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge.
15. Cancellations and Refunds
Payment does not create a right to cancel or return a product outside the terms applicable to the order.
Cancellation and refund eligibility is governed by:
- Our Return and Refund Policy;
- The applicable product page;
- The accepted quote or invoice;
- Any custom-order or product-specific agreement; and
- Applicable law.
Refunds generally will be issued to the original payment method unless another method is required by law or agreed upon in writing.
Financial institutions and payment providers control how quickly an approved refund appears in the customer’s account.
16. Payment Security
Payments are processed through Shopify, PayPal, or other third-party payment providers enabled for the transaction.
These providers may collect and process card details, account information, billing information, device information, and fraud-prevention data under their own terms and privacy practices.
Flint Hills Barns does not directly store complete credit- or debit-card numbers on its own servers.
Shopify states that its checkout is secure and that Shopify stores are PCI compliant by default. PCI DSS establishes security requirements for organizations that store, process, or transmit payment-card information. Shopify payment-security information, Shopify PCI compliance information.
No online payment or information-transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
17. Payment Confirmation and Receipts
After a successful online transaction, you should receive an electronic confirmation or receipt at the email address provided with the order.
For high-value or custom orders, an automated payment receipt may confirm only that funds were received. It does not necessarily confirm:
- Final order acceptance;
- Product availability;
- Approved specifications;
- A guaranteed production date; or
- A guaranteed delivery date.
Those details will be established by the applicable order confirmation, quote, invoice, or written agreement.
If you do not receive a payment confirmation, check your spam or junk folder and then contact us. Do not submit a duplicate payment unless you have confirmed that the original transaction failed.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Billing and Payment Terms to reflect changes in available payment methods, processors, business practices, or legal obligations.
Changes become effective when posted on flinthillsbarns.com and apply prospectively. Payment terms accepted for an existing order will generally continue to govern that order unless the parties agree otherwise or a change is required by law.
